Stop ILLEGALLY towing your Fifth Wheel, Personal Trailers and RVs!
#rving #illegal #license In many states, a Class A or B license is required to tow most larger 5th wheels, especially with one-ton trucks. Many RV’s, motorhomes, and personal trailers also have this requirement. If your gross combined weight rating is over 26,000 you likely need an upgraded license. I go over some of the highlights for the two states I’ve familiar with and how easy it is to get a license upgrade. So the rumor of needing a motorhome license or special license is indeed true in many states.
In North Carolina and many other states, a special Class license is required to drive large Motorhomes and 5th wheel trailers that exceed 26,000 lbs. You may not need a CDL for personal use but that doesn’t mean you don’t need a license upgrade even for RVs. In many states, a higher class or endorsement is required which isn’t related to CDL operations. Always check your state’s laws before purchasing or upgrading RV’s. Never listen to the salesman.
