How I start my Fanuc OM based CNC Mill. How to get started or use an older Fanuc OM based mill. I purchased a used CNC mill and have been using it successfully for over a year. For DIY type operation, it’s been reliable and capable. Excel VMC mills, in particular, seem to be very reliable, easy to work on and I’ve been able to source parts. Making a simple vise step jaw for a machining a 6061 PCB enclosure for a solid state relay module / controller. The design was done in Fusion 360 and machined using my Excel VMC. The step jaw fits the DX6 Crossover Kurt vise.
