Stop ILLEGALLY towing your Fifth Wheel, Personal Trailers and RVs!
#rving #illegal #license In many states, a Class A or B license is required to tow most larger 5th wheels, especially with one-ton trucks. Many RV’s, motorhomes, and personal trailers also have this requirement. If your gross combined weight rating is over 26,000 you likely need an upgraded license. I go over some of the highlights for the two states I’ve familiar with and how easy it is to get a license upgrade. So the rumor of needing a motorhome license or special license is indeed true in many states.
In North Carolina and many other states, a special Class license is required to drive large Motorhomes and 5th wheel trailers that exceed 26,000 lbs. You may not need a CDL for personal use but that doesn’t mean you don’t need a license upgrade even for RVs. In many states, a higher class or endorsement is required which isn’t related to CDL operations. Always check your state’s laws before purchasing or upgrading RV’s. Never listen to the salesman.
Here is also a reference to tag/weight stations from another great YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VlEU6-4YoY&feature=em-comments

Ram Upgrade. Towing beast!
Ram Upgrade. Towing beast! My experience towing, on the upgrade from Single Rear Wheel Dodge 2500 to a Dual Rear Wheel Ram 3500. Towing both a tag-along trailer and fifth wheel toy hauler. Moving a fifth-wheel setup to the new truck. Loving the dually. Verified that a long wheelbase dually is rock solid compared to a short bed single rear wheel 3/4 ton. In other words, if you are considering a 5th wheel in the 12K+ weight range this is what you want to be towing it with. Worth the extra money and size. #ramtrucks #aisin #cummins #dually #towing
